1. Break Regularly. Take regular breaks like from moving away from your computer or task that you are completing.

2. Be Mindful. Practice 30 seconds of mindfulness to start with each day. This could be as simple as pulling out some weeds from the garden and being present in that moment. Or it could be downloading the smiling mind. And going through one of their mindfulness activity and strategies, particularly if you’re finding it really difficult to switch off from work.

3. Separate your Space. Ensure you have a separate space. If you’re working from home to where you are working, to where you are doing home-based activities to make it easier to switch off and close the computer at the end of the day.

4. Plan it Out. Set out a plan or a strategy for how you can be more active and eat healthy.

5. Exercise. Do 30 minutes of exercise every day. If you’re not currently doing any exercise each week, start with five minutes and slowly build it up.

6. Time Off. Take time off or away from work where you don’t have to think about it and then you’re able to shut down. This could start with being 1 0r 2 days over the weekend or a couple of days during the week when maybe it’s a little bit quieter. If you feel you are unable to take holidays at this time.

7. Find gratitude every day. This will help to be able to reflect on what it is that you’ve really enjoyed that day or what you’re really looking forward to, to keep a positive outlook on the achievements that you’re wanting to be able to do.
